How to make a really nice cup of tea.

First and foremostly, boil fresh water and warm the tea pot by putting a cupful of the boiling water into it and swirl it around for a few seconds. Then, bring the water to the boil again and add the tea leaves to the pot, one teaspoonful per person. Add the boiling water to the pot and leave to brew for at least five minutes. If you are lucky enough to have a tea cosy, (see picture) then your cup of tea is going to be perfect. Don't forget that if you have your tea with a drop of milk, the milk should be poured into the cup before the tea. The reason for this procedure is that it is said that 'bone china' cups run the risk of breaking if very hot tea is poured directly in. Needless to say that tea really tastes much better in a 'bone china' cup.
